Who is....?

Smudge Miramar has an obsession with writing comic book stories and creating artwork for them. His love for 2000 AD goes back to 1979, when he won a drawing competition and was awarded a lifetime subscription to the comic—an obsession that continues to this day as he still collects 2000 AD issues.
Smudge Miramar is an experienced 3D generalist, concept artist, and lecturer with over 20 years in the film, TV, and video game industries. He has worked on AAA games like Burnout and Harry Potter, and collaborates with major studios such as EA and Sony. He runs his own studio, creates 3D assets and animations, and teaches others through his freelance and lecturing work.
His dream was to draw and write for Judge Dredd, but he decided to take a different approach to make the creative process faster and more efficient. All assets are built in 3D software, then rendered in a game engine. From there, they’re dropped into drawing software, ready for print. Is this a new process? Not necessarily—but it’s much easier than drawing every frame by hand, which reduces boredom and saves time.
